This is an amazingly well cared for Series I Datsun 240Z, driven only 77K miles. With the few maintenance and cosmetic exceptions as noted, and clearly shown in the pictures - it has survived these past 45 years in mostly original condition.
History of ownership To the best we can recover: wealthy SoCo family buys their college bound daughter with this brand new 1971 Datsun 240Z, the daughter drives it 66K miles from 1971-77. In 1977 the car goes into mom's garage and mom drives it periodically and puts on another 11K. The car is sold to her friend who lives here in Oregon (unknown date). The lady here in Oregon sends her nephew down to SoCal and trailers the car to Grants Pass, Oregon. It needed brakes which she never got around to having done. Four to five years later she dies and it sits in probate four years before her nephew is able to take ownership, at which point he trailers it to Bend, Oregon and sells it to us. Apparently the nephew's aunt never put a single mile on the car. We have the original owners manual!
